Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Old Freehold Road In Toms River
The crash that happened Thursday evening remains under investigation.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A 21-year-old man died Thursday evening when he was thrown from his motorcycle during a crash on Old Freehold Road, Toms River police said.
The man, whose name and hometown were not released, was riding his motorcycle north on Old Freehold Road about 8:45 p.m. Another vehicle was headed south on Old Freehold Road and tried to turn left onto Walnut Street, and turned into the path of the motorcycle, Lt. Scott Moeller said.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike as a result of the impact and suffered life-threatening injuries, Moeller said. He was flown to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries, he said.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries, Moeller said.
Toms River police are still investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information relevant to the crash is asked to call Traffic Safety Officer William Reseter at 732-349-0150, ext. 1428.
