‘She Gives 100 Percent’: Laina, Toms River Star Student Athlete
She's a member of the Junior National Honor Society, loves to run and is always ready to help, the nominator said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

This submission comes from Patricia H. who nominated Laina, an eighth grader from Toms River, who is her granddaughter.
What sport does the star student athlete play?
Track and cross country.
Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
Laina is a Junior National Honor Society member, and a member of the track and cross country team at Central Regional Middle School where she has been named the Most Valuable Runner. In addition to these, she enjoys acting in school plays and interacting with peers in school activities. She is a kind, helpful person always ready to extend a helping hand.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
Laina is an extremely kind hard worker and gives 100 percent to her activities.
