Snow Leads To Delayed Opening For Toms River Regional Schools

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Students and staff in the Toms River Regional School District will get to sleep a little later on Monday as the district has declared a delayed opening due to Sunday's snowfall.

The 90-minute delayed opening means there will be no morning preschool, no morning vocational school and no morning Y Kids programs. Breakfast will not be served.

Toms River received 8.1 inches of snow from the storm that moved through New Jersey late Saturday into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm began with rain and has left icy conditions in its wake, and the road conditions are anticipated to be hazardous in the morning.
