Summer Camp Registration Opening In Point Pleasant

Registration for Point Pleasant's summer programs now is available, first come first served.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Registration for Point Pleasant's summer camp and summer recreation programs opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17.

Registration for all programs is through the Community Pass system.

Summer camp is available as a half-day or full-day participation for children in kindergarten through fifth grade (children must have completed kindergarten).

The half-day program is 9 a.m.-noon at Nellie Bennett Elementary School and runs from June 26 to Aug. 4. There is no camp on July 3 or July 4. The cost is $450.

"Campers will have fun with indoor and outdoor activities, special 'theme' days, sports, music, arts and crafts, educational fun and lots of memory-making!" the borough's description says.

Full-day summer camp is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and runs from June 26 to Aug. 4, with no camp on July 3 or 4. The full-day camp will be held at the Recreation Center and costs $750.

The full-day program includes special events, arts and crafts, “theme” days, sports, outdoor activities, and educational fun. There will be trips such as Skyzone, United Skates Roller Rink, Riverfront Park, Urban Air and Silverball museum. Special days will include water slides, comedians, and pizza. There will be multiple drop-off and pick-up days at Riverfront Park. The camp T-Shirt will be provided and must be worn on all trips. All trips are included in the cost of the camp.

Registration for non-residents of Point Pleasant opens May 22.

Registration closes when the programs are full.

Anyone registering after May 31 will see a $10 increase in price per program.
