Nearby resident reported strange occurrence on street where police-involved shooting took place March 31.

BUTLER, N.J. – The 23-year-old man shot by police on March 31 in Butler may have been disguised as an elderly woman just prior to being found climbing out of the window of his grandparents’ home.

A 9-1-1 caller tells a dispatcher she saw someone walking down the street dressed “like an old lady” and is adamant the person is actually a man.

While not yet identified by authorities, several media outlets have claimed the victim of the police-involved shooting is Dylan Hannah, who lives on Belleview Terrace with his grandparents.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the shooting victim was hit multiple times and taken to the hospital for treatment.

No charges or arrests have yet been made in the incident. The emergency dispatch call recording was obtained by NJ Advance Media. To hear the full call, click here.
