Bloomingdale to Host Annual River Cleanup
Banks of Pequannock RIver to be cleaned by community volunteers.

Bloomingdale Clean Communities will once again sponsor the borough's annual Pequannock River Cleanup Day this year.
The event is being held on Aug. 25 beginning at 10 a.m., at which point interested volunteers are being asked to gather at Sloan Park, on Main Street, to receive their cleanup assignments.
Last year's event drew more than 50 volunteers from Passaic, Morris and Bergen counties. Volunteers carried black garbage bags and picked up trash along a 7-mile stretch of the river in between West Milford and

This year's Pequannock River Cleanup Day is co-sponsored by the Pequannock River Coalition and has been for the past 15 years. Lunch will be served for volunteers at noon.
