Epileptic Butler Girl to Benefit From Fundraiser Next Week

Brady Sinopoli has a great sense of humor and loves life.

These traits are particularly impressive to others as four-year-old Sinopoli, who suffers from refractory epilepsy, struggles on a daily basis.

Sinopoli's parents, Cheryl and Scott Sinopoli, a police officer and volunteer firefighter in are hoping to raise money to buy her a seizure dog and pay for unpaid medical bills. A fundraiser will be held at , in Butler, where on Aug. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., 20 percent of sales will go to the Brady's Bright Side Fund to support Sinopoli and her family.

Cheryl Sinopoli is a 34-year resident of Butler and said her daughter's medical issues began when she was three months old and found in her crib appearing blue in the face. Following this incident, the seizures began.

"Brady has been seen by doctors around the United States from Ohio, to Pennsylvania, to New York, to here in New Jersey," Cheryl Sinopoli said. "These doctors have put her through many uncomfortable medical tests and many days in various hospitals."

At age three, Sinopoli was diagnosed with a type of epilepsy that cannot be treated by surgery. Cheryl Sinopoli said her daughter has also been on eight different medications so far in her life, none that have worked for an extended amount of time.

In addition to the fundraiser, tax-deductible donations for the Brady's Bright Side Fund can be sent to 89 Carey Avenue, Butler, NJ 07405 in the name of Little Angels Service Dog Training.
