Morris Man's Illegal Gun Sale Operation Busted After Sting
Miguel Torres is in jail on $100,000 bail.
BUTLER, N.J. – A Butler man was arrested in Bergen County this week after police say he illegally sold a gun for the fourth time in nine months.
Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal announced the arrests of Miguel Torres, 20, and Dominique Turzilli, 23, both of Butler after an investigation into Torres that began nearly a year ago.
From July 2015 until this week, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted an investigation into Torres who was believed to be involved in the illegal sale of firearms, Grewal said. During that time period, Torres allegedly sold four handguns in Elmwood Park, Grewal said.

The task force stopped a vehicle with Torres in it on March 16 just after he allegedly sold another weapon in Elmwood Park, Grewal said. Torres was arrested without incident, and Turzilli was also arrested and charged after being found to be in possession of cocaine and oxycodone.
Torres was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and jailed on $100,000 bail with no 10-percent option. Turzilli was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and was released on her own recognizance.
