At Least Three Dead in Fiery East Orange I-280 Tractor-Trailer Crash
The crash occurred around 10:35 this morning on the east bound side of highway I-280 with a car engulfed in flames.
Three are dead after a major motor vehicle crash on Route I-280 in East Orange this morning. State police have reported to New Jersey News 12 that more were injured but the extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.
One local driver captured the footage of the fiery crash seen in the video below.
The New Jersey state police have reported via twitter this morning that the crash is causing heavy delays on the highway. NJ.com reported that the east bound side of the highway was shut down around noon will most likely remain so through the rest of the afternoon as investigations continue. At this time, the cause of the accident is unknown.
