We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:

  • "Lines needs to be painted on Pompton Ave so that people know where it is one or two lanes. And sidewalks need to be put in on BOTH sides of Pompton Ave for the entire length."
  • " If speeding is our biggest safety issue, I think we live in a pretty safe area."
  • "Speeding and not stopping at stop signs! It's not just speeding on the major roads, even the smaller residential roads see extreme speeding!"
  • "Pompton and Grove is a disaster intersection. Left turns should be illegal from Grove."
  • "Bradford-Pompton intersection. Each direction needs a left turn signal."
  • "Speeding cars on Ozone Avenue! Put speed bumps in!"
  • "Cars parking on Pompton Ave in front of the deli, nail salon, etc. across from St Catherine's"
  • "Speeding down side streets; would love speed bumps on Fox."
