Verona Presbyterian Church Members Feed the Hungry

Group provided 100 lunches for soup kitchen of Newark church.

Members of the Verona’s First Presbyterian Church of Verona recently participated in Newark’s Clinton Avenue Presbyterian Church Soup Kitchen helping prepare bagged lunches.

Dalyce Tenore, who introduced the mission to the congregation, oversees the program. 

Last Friday, 16 members met at the church and made 100 lunches containing two sandwiches, juice, chips and fruit. 

The Newark Clinton Avenue Presbyterian Church also received $175 and 55 cans of soup collected by the church’s youth on “Souper Bowl Sunday.”
