Annual Children's Mental Health Awareness Day Planned In Monmouth County

The free event aims to connect Monmouth County families with critical mental health resources.

WALL, NJ — This Saturday, Allaire Community Farm will host the 9th Annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day in collaboration with Monmouth County’s Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council from 5-8 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event is designed to raise awareness about children’s mental health and connect local families to the resources and support they need.

Representatives from over 40 community agencies will be on-site to provide guidance, answer questions, and offer information about services related to mental and emotional well-being, developmental disabilities, and substance use support.

“We’re honored to provide a space where families can come together, feel supported, and leave with new tools to care for their children’s emotional well-being,” said JoAnn Burney, co-founder of Allaire Community Farm. “Mental health matters, and so does knowing that you’re not alone.”

  • The farm’s petting zoo
  • Train and tractor rides
  • Games, giveaways, and interactive family activities
  • Food and refreshments donated by generous local vendors

Allaire Community Farm is a non-profit sanctuary and commercial farm with a mission of inclusion.

The farm utilizes rescued animals and the working farm environment to “nurture with nature” special needs individuals and at-risk teens suffering from depression, anxiety, and self-harm, as well as veterans who suffer with PTSD. The gardens and greenhouses also support local families battling cancer with weekly free produce.
