Arrest Made In Rash Of Wall Car And Home Burglaries, Car Theft

Wall police announce the arrest of a Newark man, warrant for another in multiple car and home burglaries three weeks ago.

WALL, NJ — One man is arrested and another is being sought in connection with multiple car and house burglaries, as well as a car theft, that hit Wall neighborhoods recently, police here said.

Police investigated several residential and motor vehicle burglaries, in addition to a motor vehicle theft, three weeks ago.

The crimes were in the areas of Allaire Road, Williamsburg Drive, Celeste Drive, Campbell Road, Roundhill Court, Riverside Terrace, Equestrian Lane, Deer Run and 18th Ave, police said. You can see a video of one attempt here.

Now, as a result of investigations into the incidents, Det. Zach Honecker has charged Ahmad Singletary, 24, of Newark with:

  • 15 counts of burglary to a motor vehicle.
  • 3 counts of burglary to a residence.
  • 7 counts of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle burglary.
  • 1 count of conspiracy to commit a residential burglary.
  • 1 count of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft.

These are all third-degree offenses, police said.

Singletary was also charged with these disorderly persons offenses:

  • 2 counts of receiving stolen property.
  • 2 counts of theft.
  • 1 count of criminal mischief.

Singletary is currently jailed on unrelated charges, police said.

Honecker also charged Kevin Yuille, 24 of Elizabeth with these third-degree offenses:

  • 2 counts of burglary to a motor vehicle.
  • 2 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary to a residence.
  • 4 counts of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle burglaries.

Warrants were issued for Yuille’s arrest on these charges.
