Belmar Blvd. Accident Sends 3 to Hospital
Single vehicle collision leaves one person ejected onto roadway
A single-car accident on Belmar Boulevard Tuesday night, just before 11:30 p.m., sent three people to a hospital, at least one with serious injuries.
According to Wall police:
On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at approximately 11:24 pm, members of the Wall Township Police Dept. responded to a single vehicle rollover type crash on Belmar Blvd, west of Hwy 35. As a result of the crash one occupant of the vehicle was ejected onto the roadway. In total there were three occupants in the vehicle and all three were transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment. Their names are not being released at this time, as appropriate family notifications have not yet been made. The vehicle, a 2010 Mazda 3, sustained major damage as a result of the crash. Members of the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) responded and assisted with the investigation of the accident that is on going at the time of this release. Members of Glendola Fire Co., West Belmar Fire Co., Wall First Aid, Belmar Police Dept. and Belmar First Aid also assisted at the scene. The roadway was shut for several hours during the investigation.
