Boston Marathon 2022: See Who From Wall Is Racing
The Boston Marathon returns April 18, and Wall residents will be among the 30,000 participants.

WALL, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line April 18 at the 2022 Boston Marathon. Two of them are Wall residents.
For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.
The following racers live in Wall, according to the Boston Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon:

- Lisa Mcghee, 50: Wave 3, Corral 6, Bib No. 21848
- Christopher Whitehead, 40, Wave 1, Corral 4, Bib No. 3903
There are several ways to track participants on race day:
- Download the Boston Athletic Association's racing app, which is free on iPhone and Android devices.
- Follow along on the B.A.A. website, which will change April 18 to allow people to track runners on race day.
- Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.

- 9:02 a.m.: wheelchair division, men
- 9:05 a.m.: wheelchair division, women
- 9:30 a.m.: handcycle and duo participants

- 9:45 a.m.: professional women
- 9:50 a.m. para-athletics divisions
- 10 a.m.: Wave 1
- 10:25 a.m.: Wave 2
- 10:50 a.m.: Wave 3
- 11:15 a.m.: Wave 4
