Celebrate Founder's Birthday At Historic Village At Allaire In Wall
The birthday of James P. Allaire is being marked with all sorts of 1830s-era events Saturday at Allaire Village in Wall.

WALL, NJ — The birthday of James P. Allaire is being celebrated Saturday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Historic Village at Allaire.
The Village is at 4263 Atlantic Ave., Wall Township, 07727.
Allaire, born July 12, 1785, bought the property now called the Historic Village at Allaire in 1822, creating the largest iron-producing site in the state during the 1830s.

The manufacturing of iron thrived largely due to the expansive self-sufficient industrial community that Allaire planned out.
In honor of our founder's birthday, enjoy special historical demonstrations, children's games/activities, tours of the historic homes and craft shops, and more

The day includes:
- Sign a birthday for James. P. Allaire.
- Games on the Green with water races.
- At 1 p.m. a toast will be made to Allaire at the General Store.
- At 1:30 p.m., retire to his home for a piece of cake and a tour. Mix your own black powder cocoa as your celebrate Allaire's birthday.
The $5 general admission ticket (age 3 and under free) enables you to see historic trades in action, including blacksmiths and tinsmiths as well as tour period homes to see how each class in the village lived. In addition there are themed pop-up tours and demonstrations.
