Drug Possession, DWI, Mail Theft: Wall Police Blotter

Wall Police reported three incidents of driving while intoxicated from Dec. 2 through Dec. 7.

WALL, NJ — Wall Police reported incidents of drug possession, driving while intoxicated, mail theft and more from Dec. 2 through Dec. 7.

Dec. 2
Todd Taggart, 46, of Toms River, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop on Route 138.

Taggart was processed and released on a summons.

Dec. 4
Brian Crimmins, 52, of Brick, was charged with possession of crack cocaine following a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 138.

Crimmins was processed and released on a summons.

Dec. 6
Thomas Fitzpatrick, 43, of Wall, was charged with driving while intoxicated during a motor vehicle stop on Belmar Blvd.

Fitzpatrick was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law, which requires police to impound the driver's vehicle for 12 hours following their arrest. To be released from custody, the driver must also contact someone who will take responsibility for them and ensure they do not drive while still under the influence.

Mauricio Cortes, 45, of Florida, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Route 138 and charged with driving while intoxicated. Cortes was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.

Dec. 7
A 16-year-old from Garfield was arrested and charged with obstruction, trespassing and 23 counts of theft. He was processed and released into his mother’s custody.

Michelle Mott, 35, of Hamilton, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Route 35 and charged with driving while intoxicated. Mott was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.
