Drug Take Back Day Planned In Wall Township
Wall Township Police will be collecting unused, unwanted and expired medication for "Operation Take Back" this spring.
WALL, NJ — Wall Township Police will be teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to collect unwanted medication for “Operation Take Back” this spring.
On Saturday, April 26, the department will be collecting unused, unwanted and expired medicine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wall Township Police Department.
The program is anonymous and all efforts will be made to protect the anonymity of those disposing of medications, police said. No questions or requests for identification will be made.

“The role of law enforcement will be to maintain and safeguard the integrity of the disposed items,” police said.
Program guidelines include the following:

- The individual may dispose of medication either in its original container or by removing medication from its container and disposing it directly into the drug disposal box.
- If the original container is submitted, the prescription label should be removed if there is personal identifying information.
- Liquid products should remain sealed in their original container.
- Syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted.
At the end of the program, the DEA will assume custody of the drug collection boxes and dispose of the contents in accordance with DEA policy, police said.
