Election Primer: Who Is Running For The Seats In District 30

With just about a month before Election Day, here are the candidates for the State Senate and State Assembly for District 30.

WALL, NJ – Election Day is a little more than a month away, and the three seats representing District 30 in both the State Senate and Assembly are being contested this November.

Incumbent Assemblymen Sean Kean and Edward "Ned" Thompson won the Republican primary back on June 8 and are facing Democratic challengers Matthew Filosa and Stephen Dobbins in the general election.

Current State Senator Rober Singer, who was unopposed in the Republican primary, will be running against Democrat Dan Stinger, who also ran unopposed in the primary.

District 30 is made up of the following New Jersey municipalities: Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Farmingdale, Howell Township, Lake Como, Manasquan, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, and Wall Township in Monmouth County and Lakewood Township and Point Pleasant in Ocean County.
