Ex-Employee Charged In Attempted Burglary Of Sub Shop In Wall
An Ocean Township man has been charged with attempted burglary of two Jersey Mike's locations where he had worked - Wall and Ocean Township.
WALL, NJ — A police investigation into a report Dec. 16 of an attempted burglary at Jersey Mike's Sub Shop on Route 35 has led to the arrest of a former employee, who is now accused in the incident there and at another Jersey Mike's where he worked in Ocean Township, police said.
As Wall Det. Zach Honecker investigated the attempted burglary at Jersey Mike’s in Wall, it was found that a similar incident took place at Jersey Mike’s in Ocean Township.
Through a joint investigation by the Wall Township Police Department and Ocean Township Police Department, Jacob Long, 25, of Oakhurst, who was an ex-employee of both Jersey Mike’s locations, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, a disorderly persons offense; and with attempted burglary, a third-degree crime.

Long was transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold.
