4 Charged In Theft Of BMW in Wall

Three men and one juvenile from Newark are charged in connection with the June theft of a high-end car in Wall, police said.

WALL, NJ — Four people were charged Tuesday with the theft of a car from Wall in June, police reported.

On June 23, 2023, the Wall police went to a Murray Drive residence after the homeowner reported that a 2015 BMW M5 was stolen from the driveway overnight, and that other vehicles at the property were entered.

After an investigation by Detective Zach Honecker and Detective John Spinapont, the detectives have charged four men, including one juvenile, with receiving stolen property, a third-degree crime.

Police said the people charged are: Zyion A. Jones, 20; Omari S. Jones, 19; Quashan Johnson, 23; and a male juvenile, 15. All are from Newark.

Quashawn Johnson is currently lodged at Bergen County Correctional Facility, police said. Arrest warrants have been issued for Zyion Jones and Omari Jones. The 15-year-old juvenile’s charges have been placed on a juvenile complaint and his case will proceed in Juvenile Court, police said.

Residents are reminded to remove their keys and personal belongings from their vehicles and lock their car doors.
