Governor Murphy To Speak At Wall Township Labor Walk

The governor will be speaking to volunteers at the IBEW 400 in Wall Township this Saturday morning.

WALL, NJ – Governor Phil Murphy will speak to volunteers at the New Jersey State AFL-CIO’s labor walk, sponsored by the Monmouth and Ocean County Central Labor Council this Saturday, Oct. 23. at IBEW 400, on Highway 138 in Wall Township.

The labor walk will go from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the governor speaking at 8:30 a.m.

Labor walks are done by volunteer unions to speak to members who are as of yet undecided on who to vote on and drum up support for pro-labor candidates.

According to Wyatt Earp, walk organizer Murphy will be speaking to the gathered volunteers before they go out on Saturday morning.

“We’re very excited to have him here,” Earp said to Patch. “He’s been there for working middle-class people.”

“He could have chose to be at an expensive fundraiser, but instead, he chose to speak to us before we go out.”
