LONG BRANCH, NJ – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) recently announced that several requests for Community Funded Projects he submitted to the Appropriations Committee for New Jersey’s Sixth Congressional District were passed in the House of Representatives.

One of these projects was a $2 million project for a health monitoring and telecommunications training center in Long Branch. The money will be used to renovate buildings to transfer the Long Branch Health Department and other health services to more adequate facilities to respond directly to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am pleased to announce that projects I requested for my district have passed the House. This is a major achievement for New Jersey as we work to rebuild back better after the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of the projects will help advance critical infrastructure, public health, scientific, and educational funding needs in our community and deserve federal support,” Congressman Pallone said in a statement.
