Man, 31, Arrested In Connection To Car Burglaries In Wall

The Neptune man was arrested following an investigation into reports of thefts from unlocked cars in town, according to Wall police.

WALL, NJ — A 31-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection to a series of burglaries that happened in Wall in October, according to police.

Marqwell Nichols, from Neptune, was charged with fourteen counts of burglary to a motor vehicle, eight counts of theft, two counts of credit card theft, one count of identity theft and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.

He was arrested following an investigation into reports of thefts from unlocked cars that happened in the Shark River Manor and West Belmar sections of Wall Township, police said.

Nichols was taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

Police warned residents to lock their cars and remove personal belongings and valuables, including their key fobs.
