Man Accused Of Peering Into Buses At Wall High School: Police

A Neptune man, 24, who fled police who questioned him, faces charges of defiant trespassing, disorderly conduct, among others.

WALL, NJ — Police officers on duty at Wall High School Wednesday arrested a Neptune man, 24, who was peering into school buses around dismissal time, according to police.

On Jan. 10, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Patrolman Josh Wheeler and Sgt. Chris Mason were at the Wall Township High School to monitor the dismissal of students, part of the Police Department’s Safe School Initiative.

That initiative came into play when, while there, the officers saw a man "acting suspiciously by walking around the buses and looking inside the buses prior to students' being dismissed to board the buses," police said.

Officers approached the man to inquire about what he was doing on school grounds and to inquire about his actions.

The man was uncooperative and then fled on foot, police said. But he was apprehended by Wheeler and Mason in the parking lot of the high school and placed under arrest.
