Mercedes Benz Parked In Driveway Likely Target Of Wall Break-In

Police said the garage of a Wall home was broken into Wednesday, and they believe thieves wanted to get at keys to the high-end car.

WALL, NJ — The garage of a home at Apple Ridge Circle was broken into at about 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, and police say the thieves may have been trying to enter the house for keys to a Mercedes parked in the driveway.

Detectives found forced entry into the garage through a window, but the door leading from the garage into the residence was locked so the criminals were not able to enter the home, police said.

The commotion woke up the homeowner who was upstairs at the time and called police.

The criminals opened the garage door and left the area before police arrived, the police report said.

Police said they believe the thieves were attempting to gain entry to obtain keys to the homeowner’s Mercedes Benz in the driveway.
