Wall Township Police then initiated a pursuit, which proceeded east on Route 138 and then north on Route 35 into Ocean Township.
The pursuit ended at the intersection of Deal Road and Logan Road when the suspect was involved in a minor motor vehicle crash, police said.
Ocean Township and Wall Township Police were then able to take Bowe into custody without further incident and bring him to Ocean Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed in connection with the armed robbery and vehicle theft.
Wall Township Patrolman Justin Hudson also charged Bowe with resisting arrest, eluding (resisting arrest by flight), receiving stolen property, obstruction, and multiple motor vehicle violations.
After he was processed, Bowe was brought to a local hospital for evaluation. He will be transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending his initial court appearance.
“This is excellent police work by Ocean Township and Wall Township Police Departments in safely getting a violent criminal off the streets,” Chief Sean O’Halloran said.
