NJ Man Charged After Crash Involving Motorcycle Stolen Out Of Wall, Police Say
The crash occurred Monday afternoon in the area of Route 35 and Cherry Tree Farm Road in Middletown, police said.
WALL, NJ — A New Jersey man has been arrested and charged following a crash that involved a motorcycle reported stolen out of Wall Township, Middletown Police Chief Craig Weber said.
Michael Crupi, 48, of Parsippany, was arrested Monday after police said he fled the scene of a motor vehicle crash in Middletown.
At 12:45 p.m. on Monday, Middletown Police responded to the accident in the area of Route 35 and Cherry Tree Farm Road for a report of a crash involving two passenger cars and one motorcycle.

Once officers arrived, police said they learned that the motorcycle had left the area immediately after the crash and later located both the motorcycle and Crupi in the area of Wilson Avenue and Route 36.
As an officer approached Crupi, police said he ran from the area, though he was later apprehended following a brief chase on foot.

Investigation found that the motorcycle with him was previously reported stolen out of Wall Township, according to authorities.
Following his arrest, police said Crupi was charged with receiving stolen motor vehicle, obstruction, resisting arrest, possession of suspected crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglar’s tools, unlawful possession of a knife, credit card theft, false documents, driving while intoxicated, unlicensed driver, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, and several other motor vehicle violations.
Crupi was then processed and lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold.
