Ocean County Man Accused In Theft Of Truck Left Running In Wall
A truck was stolen when it was left running at the Wawa on Route 34 in Wall; Little Egg Harbor man is now charged.

WALL, NJ — A 1989 Ford F-350 that was left unlocked and running in the parking lot of the Wawa on Route 34 was stolen, and then recovered in Berkeley in Ocean County, police said.
At about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, Wall police responded to a call from the Wawa on Route 34 for a report regarding the stolen truck.
Police said a man, Joseph Cranmer, 37, of Little Egg Harbor, got in the truck and drove off while the owner was in the store.

The truck was found a short time later by Berkeley Township police, the Wall police said. Cranmer tried to run from the truck but was apprehended by Berkeley police, police here said.
Cranmer was charged with the theft of the truck and other related offenses, police said. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, Wall police said.

Police urge drivers not to leave cars unlocked and running while they are not in the vehicle. They said it is illegal to leave a running car - and it leaves it open to theft.
