Old Circus Drive-In Sign, Pickleball Discussed At Recent Meeting

WALL, NJ – During a recent meeting of the Wall Township Committee, Mayor Timothy Farrell talked about how he fields a phone call about a piece of what he called Wall Township history.

“I got a strange request today,” Farrell said at the meeting. “I got a call from the property owner on Highway 35 where the old Circus was asking me about the sign. Is there any interest in the sign?”

The Circus Drive-In was a staple of Wall Township since the mid-’50s before it was sold and torn down in 2018.

According to Farrell, there was talk about it being donated to the township and stored at Camp Evans back in 2019.

Also, at the meeting, township business administrator Jeffery Bertrand gave an update on the township’s procuring of pickleball courts, saying that the township has yet to hear back from the state about funding to building three pickleball courts.

Bertrand did suggest that the township could get the funding from the county through an Open Space grant.
