Second Community Crime Forum Planned For Wall Residents
Wall residents can meet with police officials Nov. 29 to discuss crime trends in the area and how to combat them.

WALL, NJ — Another community forum on crime trends in the township is planned for Nov. 29, following the first well-attended gathering in October.
The open forum will cover the same areas - everything from car theft to home burglaries to scams residents should be aware of and how to safely operate e-bikes, police said.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Wall First Aid & Rescue Building, 1900 Monmouth Blvd.

Wall Police Chief Sean O'Halloran said communication with the public is crucial in curbing crime in the township.
As with last month's meeting, the purpose of the upcoming forum is to interact with residents, he said.

"This will allow us to explain to them, in person, what we are dealing with in town, how we are dealing with it, and allow the public to offer their suggestions," O'Halloran said of last month's meeting.
Lately, there have been encounters with car thieves - or potential car thieves - in the township.
For example, in September, a person dressed in black was confronted and ran away from residents in two attempted car thefts.
Also in September, six incidents of either attempted car thefts or attempted home burglaries in the south end of town. Arrests have been announced in those incidents.
