Snow Day Called For Wall Township Public Schools

About 3 to 7 inches of snow are expected on Monday, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

WALL, NJ — Like many other school districts in Monmouth County, Wall Township Public Schools has declared Monday a snow day, due to the winter storm warning in New Jersey.

"Due to tomorrow's impending storm and staffing concerns exacerbated by the forecast, Wall Township Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 3, 2022. Please note, this is a school closing. It is not a virtual school day," a statement from the district reads.

Parts of southern New Jersey will see heavy snow.

The National Weather Service warned that snowfall would result in treacherous driving conditions. Blowing snow will cause reduced visibility, further increasing danger tranveling.

Even though roads may initially remain above freezing, higher snowfall rates will still lead to roads becoming snow-covered in areas under warnings or advisories, according to the National Weather Service.
