Wall Athletes Earn 6 Nominations At NJ High School Sports Awards

The undefeated Wall football team received four of the six nominations at last Thursday's event.

WALL, NJ – Several Wall High School athletes, including the football team, were recent nominees at the New Jersey High School Awards Show, which aired Thursday night on YouTube.

The undefeated Wall High School football team received five nominations as the team was nominated for Team of the Year, and senior Logan Peters was nominated for both Athlete of the Year and Boys’ Lacrosse Player of the Year. In addition, fellow seniors Casey Larkin was nominated for Defensive Player of the Year, and Grant Puharic was nominated for Offensive Player of the Year.

Senior Olivia Ramiz was also nominated for Girls’ Soccer Player of the Year to make the total number of nominations to six.

The New Jersey High School Sports Awards is a nine-month athlete recognition program, culminating with a star-studded award show that headlines some of the biggest names in sports, including Aaron Rodgers and Kevin Garnett, and is part of the USA TODAY High School Sports Awards, the largest high school sports recognition program in the country.
