Wall Football Looks To Take On Tough Season One Game At A Time

The Crimson Knights' season starts on Sunday, Sept. 5, against Rumson Fair-Haven at Rutgers University.

WALL, NJ – Wall High School’s football team is kicking off their season this Sunday up in Piscataway with a divisional match against Rumson-Fair Haven as part of the Rumble on the Raritan high school football showcase.

Wall, who finished last season as undefeated Shore Conference champions, is playing in the American Division this season with previously mentioned RFH as well as Donovan Catholic, Colts Neck, and Toms River North.

The Crimson Knight’s non-divisional schedule includes games against Red Bank Catholic, Lenape, and its annual Thanksgiving game against rival Manasquan.

According to Wall head coach Tony Grandinetti, the team is taking the season one game at a time as it has a difficult season ahead.

“Our schedule is very difficult, and our division is very competitive; even our non-conference game is competitive,” Grandinetti said.

“We’re taking the ‘being 1-0 every week’ approach as every game is difficult.”

Wall’s 2021 football schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 5 vs. Rumson-Fair Haven 8:00 pm
  • Sept. 10 @ Red Bank Catholic 7:00 pm
  • Sept. 24 vs. Toms River North 7:00 pm
  • Oct. 1 vs. Colts Neck 7:00 pm
  • Oct. 8 @ Donovan Catholic 6:30 pm
  • Oct. 15 vs. Lenape 7:00 pm
  • Nov. 25 @ Manasquan 11:00 am
