Wall Resident Encounters Thief In His House; Two Suspects Flee
Wall police seek public's help in identifying suspects in a home burglary on Walling Avenue in West Belmar Tuesday evening.

WALL, NJ — A resident of Walling Avenue came home Tuesday night to find an intruder in his house, and after a "physical encounter" the suspect fled, police said.
Now the Wall Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in the burglary in the West Belmar section of the township.
Detectives and patrol officers went to the house at approximately 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, after neighbors reported two people entering the residence.

While the suspects were inside the house, the resident returned home and encountered one of the male suspects in the living room, where a "physical encounter" took place, police said.
The suspects then fled toward Route 71, with one suspect going northbound and one southbound.

Police are looking for the two men. One is approximately 6-feet, 1-inch to 6-feet, 3-inches tall, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, dark jeans, Air Jordan sneakers and a black durag head covering. He had a black beard.
The second suspect is shorter, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a mask.
Wall Township Police Department Patrolman Chris Gallagher and his K-9 partner Eli conducted a track of the area without a lead on the suspects, police said.
Police officers from Spring Lake Heights and Belmar also assisted with a search of the area, Wall police said.
