Water Main Repair Project To Start Next Week In Point Beach

The over 2 million dollar project will see the replacement of the water main along Ocean Avenue.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – The borough of Point Pleasant Beach announced that a water main replacement project would start in the borough on Sept. 15.

The project, which will take place along Ocean Avenue, has a cost of $2,240,412.80 and is financed by the New Jersey Water Bank (NJWB).

The NJWB is a state funding program run by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (Infrastructure Bank) that uses a combination of funds provided by the EPA, the DEP, and the Infrastructure Bank to provide very low-interest loans to borrowers for environmental infrastructure projects.

The project will improve the borough’s water quality, improve water pressure, and reduce the need for emergency repairs and maintenance and operating costs.
