Starbucks Reopens After Car Crashes Through Building In Warren
A 77-year-old man from Watchung accelerated over the curb and into the building on Friday. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation: Cops.
WARREN, NJ — For those that need their coffee fix there is good news. The Starbucks in Warren has reopened after a man mistook the gas pedal for the brake and slammed through the building on Friday morning.
On Sunday morning, the coffee shop was up and running with the exterior brick wall boarded up and a boxed-out tent on the interior from where the car plowed through.
On Friday around 8:50 a.m., a 77-year-old man from Watchung accelerated over the curb of the parking lot and into the building at 4 Mt. Bethel Road in the Warren Village Center, according to Warren Police. Read More: Man Who Crashed Into Warren Starbucks Mistook Gas Pedal For Brake: PD

The man appears to have hit the gas instead of the brake when he was parking, said Warren Police Lt. Paul Dziedzic.
The crash caused some structural damage, said Dziedzic.

The driver was taken to Overlook Hospital for evaluation. There were no injuries inside the building.
His vehicle was towed from the scene. No summonses were issued.
