The new committee is also poised to select a new mayor, set to be now-Deputy Mayor Gary DiNardo. In Warren Township’s form of government, a new mayor is selected annually by the township committee. Committeeman George Lazo has also been selected to serve as the Deputy Mayor in 2023.
Given former committee member Mick Marion's resignation from the governing body this week, the committee will be tasked with finding a second new member in 2023. However, it remains to be seen whether this will happen at the January reorganization meeting, committee member Jolanta Maziarz told Patch.
