Warren Sewer Bills To Be Mailed In April, Not January: Township

Due to the dissolution of the Warren Township Sewerage Authority last summer, sewer billing will be revamped in 2023.

WARREN, NJ - Following the dissolution of the Warren Township Sewerage Authority last summer, sewer bills will be mailed months later than usual, township officials said.

Instead of bills mailed in January and due in February, sewer bills in Warren Township will be approved in March and are set to be mailed by April 10, the township announced Wednesday. The first half of the bill will be due on May 1, with the second half due by Nov. 1.

There will be a ten-day grace period for both bills, the township added.

“The Township apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciates your cooperation,” officials said.

The schedule change is in accordance with New Jersey finance laws, as the Sewer Utility Budget is mandated to follow the same schedule as the township budget, not the schedule of an authority budget, Warren officials said.
