'The Anonymous People' - Free Showing in Somerset County, Sept. 29
This free movie showing at the Bridgewater Library is part of Recovery Month. A panel discussion will follow.

Somerset County Freeholder Brian D. Levine invites members of the public to view “The Anonymous People” as part of the county’s proclamation of September as Recovery Month.
The free public showing of the movie will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Somerset County/Bridgewater Library at the corner of North Bridge Street and Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.

There will be light refreshments, a candid discussion about recovery and the opportunity to be involved in future recovery-advocacy efforts. Panelists will include two people who are in recovery from substance-use disorders and a family member of a person with a substance-use disorder.

“Somerset County has celebrated persons in recovery from substance-use disorders annually for a long time,” said Freeholder Levine, human services liaison. “We know that for every $1 spent for prevention and treatment, $17 is saved in societal costs.
“We want to get our Somerset County community energized and active in helping the recovering community, by assisting us locally and countywide with the challenges and opportunities that families and individuals in Somerset County face every day,” he said.
