Green Brook Police on Alert After Daytime Burglaries

Issue cautions after two burglaries reported during daytime hours Tuesday.

A pair of residential burglaries during the daytime Tuesday is leading Green Brook Police to warn residents to pay attention to any suspicious activity near their homes.

The department issued a Nixle alert to the community regarding the burglaries.

Police ask residents noticing anything unusual or suspicious in their neighborhoods to contact the department.

"Do not confront or question such individuals," the alert notes. "Secure all windows and doors when leaving the home and activate your security system if you have one."

Also, if any residents returning home after work or being away find someone has entered it, police say to immediately call 9-1-1—do not enter  your home or attempt to confront anyone breaking into a property.
