Schools Set Early Dismissal In Watchung, Green Brook for Blizzard

Watchung and Green Brook schools will have early dismissals Monday due to forecasts of blizzard conditions and heavy snow.

Schools in Watchung and Green Brook have announced early dismissals as the pending blizzard is set to dump one to two feet of snow on the state tomorrow.

Green Brook public schools will have an early dismissal at 12:35 p.m. tomorrow.

Watchung public schools will also have an early dismissal. The Giving Nest Watchung school will have an early release at 12 p.m.

Somerset County is under a Blizzard watch from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening, as more than a foot of “heavy blowing snow” is predicted to hit the state, the National Weather Service reports.

By Monday night, Somerset County could see 8 inches of new snow accumulation, with an additional three to five inches falling on Tuesday. According to the NWS, much of the state will see blizzard conditions and one to two feet of snow.
