Study Says Somerset County Spending Tax Dollars Wisely

According to Somerset County:

A new study from SmartAsset shows the places across New Jersey where property tax dollars are being spent most effectively, and folks in Somerset County are getting a big bang for their buck.

”The Somerset County Board of Freeholders’ conservative approach to spending and budgeting has had an impact,” said Freeholder Director Mark Caliguire. “We have worked hard to operate efficiently and to share services with municipalities and other counties. I think this study reflects that.”

Somerset County is second in the listing’s Top 5, after Sussex County and ahead of Morris, Middlesex and Ocean counties.Earlier this summer, SmartAsset named Somerset County one of the top two New Jersey counties based on local investment and economic expansion.
