Watchung Baseball Player Represents USA at International World Cup

A 12-year-old baseball player from Watchung represented his hometown—and country—this month when he played with the USA Baseball 12U National Team in the International Baseball Federation World Cup in Chinese Taipei.

Anthony Volpe was in Chinese Taipei with his family, according to NJ.com, after serving as his team's starting baseman.

The American team had one loss, to Venezuela, in the international competition, according to the newspaper, but ultimately won after defeating Chinese Taipei 8-1.
