1 Dead, 2 Injured Following I-80 Car Crash
The three victims were standing on the roadway before the fatal collision.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A Paterson man is dead following a car crash on I-80 this weekend, according to New Jersey State Police.
Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, a Cadillac with three occupants struck a Toyota near milepost 60.2 in Paterson. Both vehicles stopped in the left lane to assess the damage, authorities said.
As the occupants were standing in the roadway, a Tesla traveling east smashed into the back of the Toyota, striking the three men in the roadway.

The impact killed passenger Clarence Fennel Jr., 36, of Paterson. The Cadillac's driver, Tyshan Roach, 31, of Edison, sustained minor injuries. The other passenger, Marque Williams, 25, of Paterson, sustained “moderate injuries,” according to police.
No additional casualties were reported, according to state police.
