2 Teens Shot In Passaic County Suburb

An investigation determined that both shootings occurred in the same area, police said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Police are investigating shootings in Clifton that left two teens with gunshot wounds, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Clifton police were dispatched to the area of Third Street and Foster Street on the report of a gunshot victim.

Authorities found an 18-year-old Clifton man suffering from a gunshot wound in the area. He was immediately brought to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Authorities established a potential crime scene in the area.

Minutes later, at around 11:30 p.m., police were notified that a second gunshot victim, also 18 from Clifton, had arrived at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic. The teen was soon transferred to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

An investigation determined that both shootings occurred in the same vicinity, near Third and Foster streets, according to authorities.

Both victims’ wounds were considered nonfatal, police said.
