Ambulance Crash Causes Major Damage To Wayne Business: Police
An ambulance crashed into 3 parked vehicles, which crashed into the building, police said.
WAYNE, NJ — An ambulance crashing into vehicles at C.C. Rental severely damaged the Route 23 building Friday afternoon, police said.
While responding to a first aid call, the driver of a Wayne Memorial First Aid Squad ambulance lost control of the ambulance, said Lt. Robert Simpson of the Wayne Police Department Traffic Bureau.
The ambulance hit the median and careened into the parking lot at 1241 Route 23, Simpson said. It crashed into several parked cars, pushing three of them into the C.C. Rental building.

Simpson said the crash caused "major structural damage" to the building. Another parked vehicle was damaged by debris that flew out of the building, he said.
All the parked vehicles were unoccupied. No one inside C.C. Rental was injured.
