Both Wayne High Schools Recognized For Students' College Preparedness

Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley were among 149 New Jersey high schools who earned a College Success Award in 2024.

WAYNE, NJ — Both Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills High School have been recognized for their success in preparing students for college, the school district said.

A total of 149 New Jersey high schools received a College Success Award from GreatSchools.org, a national nonprofit organization that provides educational information to parents.

The award recognizes schools that have a successful track record of graduating students who later enroll in a two or four-year college, are ready for coursework at the college level, and go on to their second year.

According to state data cited by GreatSchools, 86 percent of Wayne Valley High School and Wayne Hills High School graduates go on to pursue some college or vocational program within 16 months of graduating.

“This recognition is a testament to our students, teachers, and our school communities for a collective commitment to educational excellence and to the success of all,” said Kenneth Palczewski, Principal at Wayne Valley High School.
