Car Left Dangling Over Retaining Wall After Passaic County Crash
The vehicle had driven through a fence and was hanging over an embankment held up by the wall, firefighters said.

HAWTHORNE, NJ — Firefighters in Hawthorne responded to a car crash Monday night where a sedan drove through a fence and became stuck on a retaining wall.
The call came in just before 9:30 p.m. to a residential address on Westervelt Avenue.
Photos from the Hawthorne Fire Department show that the car's back wheels were hanging on to the remainder of the wall, with the front leaning on an embankment.

All the occupants were out of the vehicle by the time first responders arrived, and the fire department did not report any injuries. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle, and waited for a tow truck to arrive and pull it back to level ground.
Officials did not say what might have caused the crash.
