Cops: Wayne Man Blamed Girlfriend, Co-Workers for Car's Strong Odor of Marijuana
The only problem, however, was that neither his girlfriend or coworkers were in the vehicle at the time.

Police say a Wayne man who was initially pulled over for having tinted windows blamed his car’s strong odor of marijuana on his girlfriend and then his coworkers - none of whom were in the vehicle.
Wayne officers pulled the vehicle over just before 3 a.m. Friday night while conducting residential patrols along Valley Road, Captain Laurence Martin said. But while speaking to the driver, Samuel I. Munoz-Garcia, 21, of Knox Terrace, police detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Munoz-Gonzalez’s “excuse for the smell was that his unidentified girlfriend had been smoking marijuana in his car earlier and that some co-workers used it to smoke marijuana in while he was working,” Captain Martin said.

Munoz-Gonzalez then told police he had a marijuana smoking pipe next to the drivers seat.
Police found one red “grinder used to reduce the raw marijuana into smoking form and a clear sandwich bag containing suspected marijuana,” according to Captain Martin.

Munoz-Gonzalez was arrested and transported to Wayne Police Headquarters, where he was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of paraphernalia, and was given a motor vehicle summons for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle summons for equipment violation.
He was released on a summons pending court dates.
